Whether you are new to running or returning after a break our running groups are for you. Whatever your reasons for wanting to start whether its get fit, lose weight, enter a local race or run for charity our running groups are a great place to start. We offer a range of programs aimed at getting you to where you want to be.

We offer a range of options for you to try from complete beginners to improver sessions both on Road and Trail.

BEGINNER RUN CLUBS: HARWOOD:

The beginner groups are ideal for those who are:

  • Complete beginners and new to running
  • Ran before and want to have another go
  • Had a long break from running or returning to fitness
  • want to run more socially and meet like minded people
  • Have heard about the health benefits of running and want to try it out
  • Are aiming to take part in an event in the future, such as a charity race

The Beginners run program is based on a Run/Walk program similar to 0-5k (couch to 5km) It is structured over a 10 WEEK period, which allows plenty of time to build your fitness, improve your running and build your confidence. Each session lasts for 1 hour and includes warm ups and post run stretches.

BEGINNER AND IMPROVER TRAIL RUN CLUBS: ENTWISTLE RES:

Run in the beautiful surroundings of Lancashire. Trail running offers an alternative to road running that awakens the senses. Feel the trail beneath your feet, the wind in your hair and the sights, sounds and smells of the wild! We run on a variety of tracks, depending on your skill level form well surfaced flat paths to more challenging undulating terrain.

The Beginners run program is based on a Run/Walk program as detailed above and follows the same format with the same benefits.

The Improvers (5k and beyond) run program takes you and your running up a gear. Aimed at those who are looking at taking their running to the next level. It is ideal for those who:

  • Are able to run 5km or 30mins consistently
  • Want to improve their running skills and knowledge
  • Have recently taken up the sport and want to progress
  • Aiming to increase distance, maybe for an event or just for fitness
  • Want to run more socially with like minded people

    So come on! Lace up those trainers & let us guide you every step of the way, with a dedicated training plan, professional experienced support, advice and motivation. We will help you with all aspects of your running including, warm ups, stretching, nutrition, technique as well as advice on running gear and equipment.

    DO NOT BE PUT OFF IF YOU HAVE RUN BEFORE AND DIDN’T LIKE IT - THE CHANCES ARE YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG - WE CAN HELP YOU AVOID THE SAME MISTAKES AND LEARN TO LOVE RUNNING.
